Sometimes things happen in life that can get you down. Trials, tribulations and temptations are just paths to help you become stronger than ever before. Even Jesus Christ learned from the things he went through (Hebrews 5:8). No matter what happens in life, we can all learn from our past. The lessons learned, if applied, can actually help improve your life and the life of others.
Finding inner peace does not mean to be in a place with no problems or issues. Inner peace is all about being in the midst of trouble, yet still remaining calm through it all. Follow these 3 steps and you will be one step closer to inner peace.
1.) Never Lose Hope – Hopelessness is the biggest reason people lack inner peace. This can lead to depression and even suicide. Remember, tomorrow is another day in which circumstances can change tremendously. You must have faith and you can overcome any obstacle (Matthew 17:20).
2.) Meditate Daily with Prayer – Most of us lack peace because we lack prayer. Starting each day with prayer helped David overcome all his enemies, including Goliath. Sometimes the Goliath or giant in our life can seem too much to overcome, but prayer can help you overcome any issue. Ask God for inner peace and he will help heal your emotional wound, granting you inner peace (Philippians 4:6).
3.) Study Holy Scripture Daily – Reading and applying the scripture will add great peace to your life. It also proves to God that you want to please HIM (2 Timothy 2:15).
Finding inner peace is not about anyone else, it’s all about you. It’s never about what someone done to you or what happened a long time ago, finding inner peace is all about YOU and how YOU handle life situations. Nothing in life happens by accident, rather it’s good or bad, the experience can mold you to a better YOU. The choice is yours, do you want inner peace or inner turmoil?
