The Devil Made Me Do It

Each and every day we are presented with a number of options, some good, others bad.  We must learn that we are under constant attack from our biggest enemy, Satan. 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. ”  Ultimately, life is all about the choices we make as we are either lead by the flesh or lead by the sprit.

Although Satan is powerful, we have an even more powerful source to fight the wiles of the evil one. In fact, if we follow the spirit, we have all we need to defeat Satan. Although sin looks and feels good to the flesh, it is detrimental to the soul. Sometimes things seem so irresistible that we come to the conclusion, the devil made me do it.

But the truth is the devil didn’t make you do it, you did it because you wanted to do it.     1 Corinthians 10:13There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” Just because you are tempted, does not mean you have to give in (James 4:7).  Live above your temptations and flesh because you have a greater purpose with God. The devil only has death and destruction for you, God has mansions, robes and crowns. What do YOU want? What choice will YOU make today?
